Ep. 30 - Why can’t I be healthy…
In this installment of Monday Minutes, I delve into a discourse on the unwillingness of people to change, and their addiction to adhering to long-held dietary beliefs, despite contrary evidence. The importance of breaking free from conventional dietary norms, especially the consumption of carbohydrates and sugar. I link the consumption of these foods to a myriad of health issues such as Diabetes, Heart, and Kidney diseases among others. Arguing that people need to make informed lifestyle decisions based on their body types. Contrary to collective belief, carbohydrates are not necessary for everyone, including athletes, and might be causing more harm than good in the long run.

Change
[:Erik 1: Welcome friends to Monday minutes. People just plain don't want to change. It's that simple. They will follow a path that they will have been sold to believe.
nd never learned the reality [:Y. Are you ready? Do you want to know? Do you really want to know. Are you really ready to hear the reality?
Because we're addicted.
We are addicted to what we want. Not what we need . You are addicted to what you want. Not what you need.
You see our brains may say. Maybe you have a point. But.
Well, these people are stuck in a compartment.
That compartment is like:Of course sugar tastes good. Of course. Carbohydrates taste good. Should you eat these things? Like that and then expect to be healthy. No. It doesn't work that way. Don't claim humans have to have [00:02:00] carbohydrates just because you want to eat them . It's not how the science works.
You are most likely justifying the fact that you want to keep eating the foods. That you want. And that's totally normal. And not give them up. So you might, you know, maybe even limit them a little bit still doesn't matter fact is carbohydrates make you gain weight. And they cause all kinds of diseases like. Diabetes.
Oh, you might be good now. But wait, it's coming. Oh, you think that won't happen to you?
Well guess what it is the eighth leading cause of death, but wait. Erik it's only the eighth leading cause. Eighth.
All right. So eight doesn't sound so bad. .
re's how it really works. It [:Kidney disease. Alzheimers dementia. Cancer liver disease. Vision issues, nervous system issues, and a whole host of other issues like stress, chronic fatigue. You get sick a lot. Low energy. Low stamina. And if you listen to the last episode, Um, might be your issue. A lack of fortitude. For all areas in your life . Low hormones, et cetera, on and on and on. And by the way, if you think athletes need carbohydrates. Well, you're not an athlete.
That's the first thing. And if you are an athlete, You don't need as much as you might think. They don't need. As many as they think.
I have personal experience with this and can tell you it is false.
Doesn't [:It's. Basically easier to stay where you're at. And we're all guilty of this more than just in health. Remember. I said in the last episode, your body wants to stay in a homeostasis. That is true for all areas of your life, mental, physical, and spiritual. It's. Easier. Human strive to find the easiest path. Nothing wrong with that actually. But they also don't use their brain. You can be healthy and not have to work so hard at it. [00:05:00] You can make good decisions, really informed decisions. Remember episode four. It was on body types and how to master yours. You must do for you. What will get you? To your goals based on your body type. That episode was really, really good.
I explained to you exactly. How to handle your. Health. According to who you are.
Very few people will teach you this. They will.
Put everybody in the same category and say, everybody responds the same way to every single thing. That's not how it is. As a human. We all function the same way.
But we don't all function the same way. If you are completely different than me, as far as size weight ratios, et cetera.
I encourage you to go listen to that episode.
And utilize what I told you. [:One day you will flip the switch. One day will only come when you have reached your limit.
There is a famous quote out there. Change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change. Some day. You have to flip the switch.
Erik 1: I guarantee you it's worth. Flipping that switch. Come on, you can do it. I know you can.
Thank you for listening. Take care of yourself.
